I would like to thank everyone involved with the Holocaust Reparation. Everyone has acted in a very thorough and helpful manner every step of the way. You have made this experience very rewarding and satisfying and have shown a lot of compassion. We greatly appreciate your intervening on our behalf and feel so lucky to have people still remembering what so many went through.

I submitted a form to the Holocaust Center for Reparations on behalf of my 98 year old mother, Nika Kohn Fleissig, who had suffered great losses in the Holocaust and had never gotten any reparations, since dealing with the interviews and dredging up the memories gave her nightmares and days of upset back in the 1960’s when my father first attempted to file for reparations for my mother. Now, I was able to provide the documentation required without my mother’s active help, and was glad to have the acknowledgment that she indeed deserved some tiny compensation for all her suffering. I wrote a book about some of what she endured, entitled: From Miracle to Miracle: A Story of Survival.” which was published in English and then in Polish. The monthly stipend award was back-dated to when I first filed
so there was an initially larger payment
followed now by monthly payments which
though not large
still help with expenses. We wish to thank Zachi Porat and the whole organization which handled the legal procedures. I wish we knew more about the lawyers and staff who handled the file. They must be interesting and dedicated people. Todah rabbah. “

the people I WORKED WITH WERE VERY RESPONSIVE TO ALL MY NEED & PROBLEMS WHICH AROSE. i highly recommend their services; let you know at times it requires your patience to work-through any obstacles which might arise-(but in the end it is well worth it!!)

My parents worked as slaves in Lodz ghetto. Thanks to a great job the International Center for Holocaust Reparations did to me and my sister we received firstly a reparation for our mother, at the end of last year, and just recently (August) we received it for our father. Worth mentioning is the fact the gathered material was much weaker as regards our father’s case. Nevertheless ICHR made it happen. Quite a lot of money. Congratulations!
